Abstract

If the workplace repercussions ofCovid-19 are a time machine to the future, as Anne Maire Slaughter, the Chief Executive of New America, suggests, then we may be in a whole heap of trouble. Work from Home mandates around the worlds have resulted in 45% of employees reporting attending more meetings during the pandemic than they were in the office. 40% of employees have said that they are experiencing mental stress from video calls while working remotely and 59% of employees report that they felt more cyber secure when they were working in the office compared to at home. More meetings, more mental exhaustion and more cyber attacks. Not the work future any of us hoped for and yet, it's the reality many of us continue to live. WfH, even not during a pandemic it can take time to get used to. Its important to form habits that help employees to disconnect the same way as they would in a physical office when you aren't there. It's very hard for employees to switch off. What everyone used to have before was a commute that they used as a way to distinguish WfH. With the loss of that commute employees have now gained more time, but what we use that time for is too often to answer that one last email. WfH is creating quite a lot ofunhealthy habits. This paper focuses on the new and now normal, way of working and its impact. For this study primary and secondary data has been collected and SPSS 22 software has been used analyze the data, statistical tools descriptive statistics, Regression andANOVA are used.
