Abstract

Financial inclusion is the path through which an economy can develop progressively and enhance growth and development by taking all in the process. The banks are the main source of providingfinancial inclusion in a vast country like India and they are the ones who allocate credit and mobilizesavings. Looking at the importance of banks in our economy, the researcher attempts to study their role in providingfinancial inclusion in our country. Effective financial inclusion has always been a problem in our country but the bankingsectors are the ones which can fulfill the gap, and that urged the researcher to conduct the study. The researcher collected relevant data and information especially from the website of the Reserve Bank ofIndia for the purpose ofthe study and to analyze it as per its objectives. In the study, correlation and regression analysis was conducted to analyze the impact of the services of banks in financial inclusion and the results were mixed having both significant and insignificant impact Based on the results ofthe study, conclusion was drawn and it shows that there is a significant impact on part of the banking services while providing financial inclusion in our country. The study is only based on secondary sources of data which is one of its limitations and based on the need of the study, the researcher has also put forwarded certain recommendations for the socio economic development of our country along with its financial stability.
